Last weekend I completed my overall 5th marathon, and 2nd marathon within 5 weeks! I added a full hour to my New York finisher time (4:42:44) but I’ve actually never had such a quick recovery as I’ve had for Tecumseh. A day later I was able to walk down 2 flights of steps without much of an issue. This morning I ran a 3.5 miler and everything felt fine (it’s now 5 days from the marathon).

It was quite an experience to stay the least. The temperaturewas below freezing, it was snowing and the ground was slippery. The course was 90% single track (about a foot wide) which meant runners had to stay single file and passing was a challenge. I fell only once but was sliding all over the place, especially was the scenery was particularly impressive and I took my eyes off the ground for too long (typically 5-10 seconds).
